In January 2025, as the UK faced record-low temperatures and rising energy costs, OVO partnered with the Warm Welcome Campaign to launch Warm Welcome Week. The initiative aimed to support vulnerable households by providing free energy-efficient products and essential money-saving advice across the country.
BF Media’s strategy was straightforward yet impactful: we took the story directly to the communities benefiting from OVO’s support. Instead of a one size fits all approach or a traditional broadcast day, we facilitated live and pre-recorded broadcast interviews from the very locations where the events were taking place—community hubs in Bristol, Glasgow, Inverness, and Newport – with OVO branding and messaging prominent in each interview.
This approach allowed us to capture authentic, on-the-ground reactions and stories, showcasing the real-world impact of OVO’s contributions. By embedding ourselves within these communities, we ensured that the media coverage was not only informative but also deeply human and relatable.
