How we are trying to make a difference

BF media was created during the COVID-19 pandemic. For us, 2020 didn’t just change the way we view work, it also changed the way we think about one another and the impact our actions have on the society we live in.

We were born out of a desire to do things differently and to make a genuine positive impact on the lives of our employees, the industry we work in, and those that are less fortunate than us.

So – what are we doing?

For us, it all begins at home. We want to nurture and develop the talent in our organisation – this starts by giving all our employees industry-leading training. We also believe that work-life balance is important to mental health, so every member of staff is only expected to work 4 days a week, with one day per week free to do something positive for their mental well being – whether that’s going to a fitness class, volunteering or just getting on top of life admin.

The PR industry, like the majority of businesses, has a problem with diversity. Be it social or cultural diversity, we recognise it is our imperative to tackle inequality. That’s why our entry-level recruitment will focus on being a gateway for young people who, at present, the PR industry is overlooking. We want to provide opportunities for those whose paths have until now been blocked.

And in order to make sure we are giving back to the society we live in, we will work pro-bono, providing around the clock broadcast media relations support, for a different charitable organisation each year and, on top of that, donate 1% of all our profits to them at the end of the year – when they need it the most.

If you would like to learn more about current vacancies or are a charity that would like to partner with us please get in touch.
