Since 2012, Christmas Jumper Day has become such a phenomenon and important milestone in the lead up to Xmas that you can sometimes forget about the important role it plays in raising money to help children stay safe, healthy and continue learning both here in the UK and around the world.
On the day’s 10th anniversary, BF media worked with Save The Children with the aim of recruiting 5,000 people in Christmas jumpers to join a virtual world record workout attempt with the Lycra Legend himself, Mr Motivator.

Partnering with tech for health platform Sweatcoin, the charities staged a live virtual workout lead by Mr. Motivator dressed in his finest festive knitwear. Throughout the workout participants were encouraged to donate to Save the Children’s Christmas Jumper Day from a Text to Donate number and an onscreen QR code.
Our aim therefore, was to let as many people know about the event as possible in order to drive participant numbers.

In setting up 22 interviews, we were able to reach an audience of 2,858,000 which had a direct impact on recruiting more than double the intended participant target with a phenomenal 11,000 people joining the live workout.
The activity played a key role in Save the Children’s wider Christmas Jumper Day campaign, which, to date is projected to raise £3.5m for Save the Children
